While I was finishing high school I realized that I couldn't imagine continuing my life without music and I decided that I wanted to share the joy of music with others.  I had always wanted to be a teacher so I turned my focus to becoming a band director.  I received my Bachelor Degree in Instrumental Music Education from UW-Stevens Point. I began teaching in 1984 in Wisconsin Rapids and started teaching in the Rosholt School District in 1985. I have been very happily teaching students in this district ever since. In 2009 I was honored as an outstanding educator in the state of Wisconsin and was pleased to receive the Herb Kohl Education Foundation Fellowship Award. Here at Rosholt I am also the H.S. Drama Director and truly enjoy working with our students as we bring plays, musicals and Madrigal Dinners to life. Hopefully you can plan to join us for our concerts and dramatic productions!

In addition to teaching here at Rosholt I am also the Conductor and Music Director of the Stevens Point City Band which is an auditioned group of approximately 80 musicians that performs nine weekly concerts throughout the summer.  I also serve as the director of the Gloria Dei Choir at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Stevens Point. In my spare time I  enjoy doing window displays at an area toy store, interior decorating and collecting teddy bears.
