New Staff Alert! We are happy to welcome Mr. Ryan Joten as our new High School Social Studies teacher.
"Hello all, my name is Ryan Joten, and I am joining Rosholt as the other High School Social Studies teacher in the 2025-26 school year. I am originally from Freedom, WI, graduating from Freedom High School last century. I received my Bachelor's in History from UW-La Crosse and my teaching credentials from UW-Green Bay. After spending a number of years as a very busy substitute teacher in multiple Fox Valley districts, I began teaching in Greenwood, WI in 2014 and have been there ever since. I currently live in Stevens Point with my wife, Jen, and two boys, one of which just recently moved out on his own, Braden (20) and Declan (12), and four cats. I currently serve as a WIAA baseball/softball umpire, and can often be seen umping legion games in the Point area. I am an avid baseball fan, following the Brewers, and am a steadfast Packers fan, like any true Wisconsinite. In my free time I greatly enjoy reading, traveling, engaging in trivia/watching Jeopardy when I can, and hopefully golf more. I look forward to meeting everyone this year, and please don't hesitate to say "hi" if you see me!

New Staff Alert! We are happy to welcome Ms. April Stiles as our new Secondary Principal.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Rosholt School District this fall. I have 23 years of experience in education as a teacher, instructional coach and curriculum coordinator. I grew up in the Almond-Bancroft area and have always loved the community feel of small town Wisconsin.
After completing my BS in Secondary Education (Missouri Valley College) and teaching a few years in Missouri I returned home to raise a family with my husband Jason. I’ve been lucky enough to work as an educator in a couple of small town districts (Montello HS and Wautoma HS) in the area as I completed my MS in Educational Leadership from UW Superior. For the last 3 years I’ve worked in the Nekoosa School District as the K-12 Curriculum Coordinator and Secondary Literacy coach. It was here that I really built a passion for K-12 leadership, literacy
and learning as I focused on supporting teachers and students to find paths to success.
In my spare time, my husband and I spend time with our family and spend many, many hours at the various sporting events our children compete in. I’m also heavily involved in the booster club in my town which is one of the ways I continue to connect and build my local community.
I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and building those connections in Rosholt as well."

New Staff Alert! We are happy to welcome our new Family and Consumer Science Teacher, Ms. Hansen.
"Hello! My name is Jill Hansen.... you can call me Hansen. I have been FACS teacher now for 23 years. I love to travel outside of the country every year; especially HOT places. I was born in the wrong country! My husband Jack and I have been together for over 20 years. I find the little things in life to be beautiful- plants, flowers, food etc. My dogs are my favorite things in the world (maybe trumping over Jack) . I have 4 dogs: Max, Kai, Stella and Baby Finnie. They range from 12 years to 7 months. They are what I look forward to coming home to and spending time with. They are who I miss when I am gone! I live off of Diet Dew, Chai tea, and water. My favorite food is pasta. I cook at least 6 nights a week at my house. In my culinary classes, we will be sharing and competing, so I will need tasters! Hope you are up for that. I love the color hot pink. I love laughing, and singing loudly off key, I am a relaxed person who is willing to go the extra mile. I can not wait to be part of your district. "

We have 10 elementary yearbooks left. If you'd like one, send in $10 on Monday!

🌾🚜 Rosholt FFA Members celebrated Drive Your Tractor to School Day!
In true FFA spirit, our students proudly drove their tractors to school to honor our agricultural roots and celebrate the hard work of farmers. Events like this remind us how important agriculture is to our everyday lives—and give students the chance to show their dedication to the land, their community, and the future of agriculture.
🚧 Friendly Reminder: As planting season continues, please be safe while sharing the road with farm equipment:
✅ Allow a safe following distance
🚫 Absolutely no passing on double yellow lines
🐢 Slow down and stay alert
These simple practices help ensure all agriculturalists including our students make it home safely to their families. 💛💙
"Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful, and most noble employment of man." – George Washington

Here are demos the Chemistry students did with Mrs. Hartvig's Kindergarten class. They showed the breakdown of water by electrolysis, immiscible liquids in lava lamps, combustion reactions in rockets and acid-base reactions in a volcano.
