Students in Mr. Christensen’s Dual Credit Intro to Business course had the opportunity to hear from Kate Taylor from the UWSP Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Kate shared valuable insight into what it truly takes to start and sustain a small business — including business planning, financing options, and common mistakes new entrepreneurs make.

The Small Business Development Center provides free consulting and support services to entrepreneurs throughout our region, helping turn ideas into successful businesses. Students were able to connect what they are learning in class to real-world business practices right here in rural Wisconsin.

For more information on the services provided by the SBDC, visit their website at:
https://www3.uwsp.edu/conted/Pages/SBDC.aspx

Thank you to Kate for investing in our students and supporting the next generation of business leaders!
